A couple years after 9/11, a new family moved in next door to us. I remember thinking it would be nice to not be the newest family on our street anymore.

Ive been here too. When it’s a big male and I feel physically intimidated, I’ve said nothing. If I don’t fear for my safety, I’ve made it awkward. People who don’t like to be called out avoid me now. On the upside, it saves both of us time. :)
